January is almost over, which means Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Can’t find something interesting to do? Or maybe you just need a point in the right direction? Say no more, here are 10 Valentine’s Day themed activities/events around the DMV area:
1. DC Valentine’s Day Dinner Cruise
February 14, 2022
Dance the night away with your loved one on a boat with City Cruise. Your ticket includes a 2.5 hour cruise on the Potomac River, a DJ, stunning views, and a buffet style dinner! They also offer a Valentine’s Day Cruise for brunch and lunch as well, if you’d like to have earlier plans.
2. Build Your Own Heart Shaped Charcuterie Board Event (MD)
Dates vary
Boards in a Box is a Baltimore based charcuterie board business. I love that they do classes where you can learn how to build your own charcuterie board! Also, I know that Baltimore isn’t considered a part of the DMV, but this event is so good, I just had to include it, lol. They are offering multiple classes leading up to Valentine’s Day, only on February 5th, 6th, 10th, and 12th, and the tickets sell out quick so plan to get them early.
3. Valentines Chocolate Tour of Embassy Row (DC)
February 6, 2022
You will get to take a walking tour of Embassy Row while sampling chocolate from all around the world! But not just any kind of chocolate, specifically romantic chocolate that people use to romance each other (how romantic is that?!?!) This tour will last from 12:00-2:00, and it will be outside so dress accordingly.
4. Valentines Treasure Hunt at the Museum (DC)
February 12, 2022
The O Museum in The Mansion on O Street (such a tongue twister right?!?!) has some fun treasure and scavenger hunts on the property. There’s over 100 rooms and 70 secret doors (so you could be here for a while, lol!). This valentine’s themed hunt will have you searching for love related items and you get a glass of champagne. If museums are your thing, I highly recommend this place, I have so much fun here whenever I go.

5. Candlelight Concerts (DC)
February 11, 2022
Fever holds these romantic Candlelight Concerts all over DC. Some of the themes they’ve had are: Anime Theme Songs, Disney Soundtracks, and Halloween Classics, they even have some based around famous composers! In the theme of Valentine’s Day, they’re holding two different concerts: Broadway’s Greatest Love Songs and the Valentine’s Day Special, which includes a list of some of the most romantic hits in history.
